------------

Upheaval and chaos approaches the ancient Empire of the Raven.

In the world of Eclisse, the ruling Empire of Estellion is besieged by a scourge of embittered zealots from the swamp nation of Kaysan, erased from history by the Empire’s hubris. As the Empire struggles against nigh-endless invaders and ruthless political machinations, its heroes must fight to restore the banners of the raven… Or fall to the Scourge of Estellion.

DYNAMIC TURN-BASED COMBAT
Ravenmark: Scourge of Estellion is a turn-based wargame, where strategic troop placement is essential to succeess. Battles employ a dynamic “we-go” system where the actions of allies and enemies unfold in a simultaneous battle phase. Commanders must to think ahead, anticipating all movements of their enemies instead of just reacting to them.

DOMINATE BATTLES THROUGH THE TOUCH INTERFACE
Explore a myriad of tactics at your fingertips with intuitive touch controls and unique management systems, like the Formation system: Group up to three units of a kind into a single formation, which enables special abilities and buffs to crush enemies quicker. The Standing Order system offers A.I. assisted commands that address the headaches of micro-managing the entire army every round. Use these tools to develop your own novel strategies and overcome the odds!

THE SYMPHONY OF WAR
A rousing cinematic soundtrack underscores the tension and drama that unfolds in the battlefields of RAVENMARK. Composed by Josh Whelchel, lauded for his work with Castle Story and Wind-up Knight, the music will immerse you ever deeper into the world of Eclisse!

A VAST LORE TO EXPLORE
Venture into the Codex, an in-game encyclopedia which documents the richly storied history and cultures of Eclisse. Unlock new entries as you progress through the campaigns and encounter new nations, characters, locales and more!

Pros and cons of RAVENMARK: Scourge of Estellion app for iPhone and iPad

RAVENMARK: Scourge of Estellion app good for

Really fun and well thought out. The story is a bit boring but the action is good! Would be cool if there was rewards for doing well like advance wars.
Sometimes the units move stupid, but Overall the Game is really Nice.
As far as I can tell (just finished the prelude), this Game is great. I do hope that the Rest Stands True to the beginning of it...
This game is more based on tactics than strategy. You move your units in the battlefield on each battle. Different kind of missions. Well-done!
First iOS turn based strategy that is on par with classics like Battle Isle and Advance Wars.
Old school tactical turn based game. Would be nice to be able to skip tutorial sections

Some bad moments

I am a long time gamer with a deep history playing strategy/rpg style games. In honesty, this game looks A+ but it plays like a C+ at best. Not being able to use your units each turn is maddening, special powers rarely come into play, units on auto move do things completely counter intuitive to battle etc etc. You can team up units but this barely ever factors into strategy. During the story progression, enemy units are introduced which you have no clear strategy against - the frogs? And the story is long and BORING - but luckily there are 312 characters to follow - so enjoy that. Ive played long enough to realize this game is mostly surface - but no substance. Make the battles more interesting - scrap the number of attack order system - and let your pieces actually do things. Tighten up the story and give us some reason to care about any of this. There is potential here - but this game comes off very half baked.
Fire emblem is a way better tbs (turn based strategy game) with a better command point
My first strategy game was Chess, then battletech, then Dune 2, Warcraft, then Risk type games. Battletech really stands out to me because of the individual unit level tactics you need to apply to the battle which can affect the whole strategy of the war. Similar here, you dont just "sprout" units from a factory. You fight with what you have. Well scripted stuff. Was introduced to this game by Ravenmark Mercenaries. I like them both.
This (along with RM: Mercenaries) is my favorite game on iOS. The gameplay is very well balanced, while the visual artwork, music, and story drew me in to the games world. The turn-based nature of the game means I can play in short pieces where I might be interrupted, while the separate command and battle phases restore some of the fog of war that makes RTS so much fun.
Easily the best TBS in the app store, tied with XCom. The next closest one is Great Little War Game followed by the Sega game whose name I forget (1990s game). FF Tactics, considering the poor port implementation by Squeenix, is down the list. Anyway, this game is simply excellent.
This game should be the game of the century! Well done makers!!! I love the strategies and the story of this game. This game is worth more than three dollars great job guys!!!
