Fun campaigns and great unit and map variety. Peculiar story, but also quite fun. Probably 20 hrs of total gameplay here, at least. My favourite IOS game to date.
Theres a bit of learning curve involved, Im struggling with moving elements that have been grouped. Fun though, and fret backstory.
Absolutely incredible presentation, but controlling battles is more difficult than it should be. The order in which units move is incredibly important, but you have to flip to a different interface layer to see the order. So planning your turn can be a frustrating process. There is a very detailed battle engine here, but its let down by a clumsy interface.
Fire emblem is a way better tbs (turn based strategy game) with a better command point
Not too bad could use a little refining though
Has a similar feel to Fire Emblem. With less emphasis on heroes and more on basic strategy. Challenging and captivating
Great turned-based RTS system, great campaign, great tutorial, great graphics. Whats more to ask?
I have been waiting for a deep strategy game like this on iOS. Its as though took Battle for Wesnoth and added some influence from the Total War series.
Well put together. Flows smoothly and the characters are fleshed out and likable far more then I was expecting to ever find. Over all amazing game
The combat takes awhile getting used to, but overall one of the best games on the App Store.
Picked this up on the App Stores extreme gaming sale. Overrated, IMHO.. Story is near incomprehensible at the start, but has gotten a little better.. Frustrating move mechanics.. Frustrating difficulty on normal.. I dont really feel inclined to play any more.. Thankfully I got this for cheaper than their asking price. Formations would be great.. If they didnt have such steep movement penalties.. :P It does have some positives though, .. Great artwork, and apparently a long campaign.. Looks good.. Weak story though/dialogue with too many characters that are never even introduced... This is why gamers shouldnt try to write... Leave that to writers.
I reccomend it without hesitation
But without RPGs elements
..just perfect
The game is definitely charming, but the storyline is in such a pidgeon english ... It is almost unreadable. You badly need to rewrite it from scratch.
I thought this game was going to be boring but when I got into it I couldnt get out of it every mission brought me deeper into the plot and I loved it the turn based strategy involved was great I loved playing this game
If you loved Banner Saga, try out this game too!
Im currently obsessing over Warhammer, so to have something like Ravenmark, ready to go whenever I get the itch, is AWESOME! I love the look and feel of this game! It really does capture that tabletop wargame vibe, while still being visually stunning. I think the next thing Id like to see, either as a major update or in a sequel, would be a skirmish mode, with a variety of stipulations to choose from; in keeping with the Warhammer Fantasy Battle idea. I am not an online gamer, so Mercenaries doesnt interest me. But an offline skirmish mode would add endless replay value, if you ask me!
Great game! Must have for any real fan of strategy games.
